recaro pole position seats... will they clear the door panel?

did some searching on the recaro pole position seats but didnt find any installed in an fd. they are 20mm overall thinner on the shoulder wings. i know the spg/spa touch the door but they are 580mm vs 560mm of the pole position. looking to see if anyone has these installed in and fd. or if you guys with spg/spa seats is it less then 10mm of contact with the door? thanks in advance.

those shoulder wings dont look that wide, im by no means a aftermarket seat expert but i think they will fit.

The shoulder/wing is smaller than SPG/SPA, but the bottom of the seat is wider. The wider bottom makes the seat won't fit in FD.

My understanding is that people who mounted it with sliders had issues rubbing the door, and people who side mounted it to the floor did not since it was a bit lower. I'd love to hear a final on this though from anyone who has actually put this seat in their car.

You guys should update the seat thread.

What seats come with the Spirit R?

Supernaut 01-28-11 12:57 PM

Custom recaros. They are assymetrical to the SPGs, have different backing, padding is different and I'm not sure about this but I don't think the SPGs have removable cushions.

i think prew has these and is having a problem getting them to fit but he is also really tall
