rebuilt turbos already going out?
 

so i have had these rebuilt turbos for about 4000 miles. a so cal shop pu t them in for me. before the rebuild i have always had secondary boost problems. after the rebuild the primary was boosting around 12 and secondary would just die down to 6. so the secondary prob is still there. they tell me to wait till i get a pfc to track down the problem because it would be cheaper and better that way. still i never mashed on it until i got my boost controller since the primary was boosting around 10 psi. slowly but surely the primar boost died to like 9 psi when i noticed it wouldnt go any higher than that. i finally get my boost controller in and that didnt make psi go any hire obvioulsy. spool up is quicker but thats besides the point. just yesterday its only boosts 7?! i read around and from what i understand there is no brake in period for turbos. im always on top of my oil changes. vacume lines are all redone. i always let the car warm up properly till idle hits 800. always let the car cool down before i make it to my destination. all my piping is on correctly with no leaks. im really starting to think its something mechanical with the turbos. should i get this checked by the shop and c if there waranty will cover it? or wait till i get the pfc than have them look at it?

maybe you have a boost leak that just getting worse and worse. Or you have a failing check valve which is getting worse and worse, not being able to hold more and more boost... Get what im trying to say?

Check the check valves around the pressure tank.

As for the secondary boost issue, check hoses,check valves, and solenoids.

I doubt that it is a problem with your turbos. It is more likely due to some of the various control valves, charge relief valve, gaskets, vacuum lines, boost leak, wg, etc. Boost problems are difficult to diagnose, good luck.
