Rear turbo housing - stripped stud hole
 

I need some ideas on how to proceed.....

While I was reinstalling the rear turbo inlet pipe to the rear turbo housing, the left stud came loose (stripped). I tried threading it back in with two nuts back to back. It seems to thread in, but as soon as put the inlet pipe back on and begin to tighten the nut, the stud moves and turns out again. I think the hole is partially stripped; not the stud itself (it looks fine)

Do I need to tap this out somehow? Put loctite on the existing threads and hope for the best? other?

Heli-Coil might work, you can pick up the size you need, even use the same stud? I left you a site so you can see one.

Or, just retap the hole for a slighter larger size (I would do both for consistency), then just use two bolts (no studs) with a drop of Loctite.

I have this exact same problem. I am trying to fix this without removing the turbos. I started to flush the hole to clear any particles out, but it seems to not flush out. do these holes go all the way through??? Am I SOL and going to have to remove these damn things just to fix a stripped piece of aluminum.
