Rear side housing?

I bought a motor a couple weeks ago https://www.rx7club.com/west-sale-wanted-classifieds-195/sale-13b-rew-fresh-rebuild-although-smokes-%241-000-a-840256/ and im starting to put everything together and i droped it in last night but than i noticed that the rear side housing on the new motor is different then my old one why is this? So now my tranny won't fit bc the bolt location is totally different.
the one i bought is a 13b rew
and the old one is a jdm 95
Are they suppose to be the same or is it not a FD motor?
Heres some pics

This is my old jdm 95 motor

hmm, that is strange. I am unaware of any REW changes throughout the years, my 93 JDM FD looks like the first picture you featured.

Obviously not an ideal situation to be in, but the gearbox should still fit. You will be one fastener short and also you will have to fabricate a blockoff plate on the left side of the bell housing..

Looks like your rear stationary gear o-ring is leaking on that rear iron too.

Hmm..

Thanks, so only using 1 fastener for the starter should be ok and everything should be fine when i fabricated a block off plate for the left side?
Would it work and would it be easy if i were to switch the rear housing with my other motor?

The one in the top picture is a manual tranny and the bottom is a auto tranny.

the "new" engine is from an automatic, they have a different rear housing.

I new that was the case i thought i bought a manuel engine but i guess not.
Would the 5 speed tranny still fit with out any problem.
For people who swap from auto to manuel do they change the rear housing too?

Could some one answer my question before i put my tranny on and find out it doesn't work.
Would the 5 speed still work with the auto housing?

It can work but you will have two less engine bolts as the pattern is a little different.
