Rear hatch plastic trim removal
I have some rattling coming from the rear hatch plastics. Does anyone have any tips for removing the plastic from the hatch or should I just pull really hard?

Pull firmly and slowly. No matter how slowly you do it, some fasteners might pull out of the plastic. Us JB weld to fix any messed up plastic.
You can put a little grease on the fasteners to help for future removal. |
Before removing (and probably damaging) the interior plastics, check out the pair of rubber bump stops that mounts to each drain rail with an m6 bolt. 25 year old rubber is probably compressed and allowing your rear hatch to move around over bumps. It's worth a look :)

Thanks everyone. I pulled off the plastic yesterday and it was pretty nasty under there. When the car was resprayed, the person repaired all of the tabs and so they are in pretty bad shape.
I'm really debating just leaving it off entirely. |
