READGT kitted FD3S
Hi
I'm looking at what wheel fitments are best and whether to go for 17" or 18" on the RE AD kit, any pics and specs would be grateful. At the moment i'm liking the Advan RG2, and the Rays TE37 but struggling to find pictures and what widths and offsets to go for. Regards Mark |
Hello
Regarding RE-AD GT Kit, type1 ? or type 2 ? The rear fender is 5mm different. |
For a wide body FD I wouldn't go with Japanese wheels for the simple fact that they seem to max out at 9.5" or 10" width in 17" and 18" diameters.
You can fit 10.5" +44 offset rear w/ 295 or 306 under the stock fender... You can fit 9.5" +47 offset front w/ 255 or 265 under stock fender So if you are going wide body use a wider rim than stock body will fit instead of just using less offset or a spacer on a rim that would fit under stock body. Get some wheels made up in a proper width. Rear 13"wide +15 offset to 14" wide +10 offset width rear and run 335/35-17 or 335/30-18 on +50mm wide rear fender. Front 12" wide +15 offset w/ 315/35-17 or 315/30-18 front tire on +50mm front fender or 11.5" wide +20 to +25 offset w/ 295/35-17 or 295/30-18 on a +30mm front fender. |

Cheers
Its the type 1 kit. Wouldn't having that wide a front wheel and tyre mess up the handling and tram line all over the place? Don't Reamemiya and Feed use 255's all round on there touge cars as mine is going to be mainly for track use. Mark |
