RE Super G Oil 10w40 SL? is it suitable for hot weathers?

Hello guys,

I was using Motul Synth. 15w50 for my fd, but it's too heavy I think.
I live in the middle east, in Summer it's 37~45C+, and in Winter it's 19~25C.
I only drive my 7 on Winter, or whenit's at least 35C in Summer sometimes.

which oil is suitable for me?
5w50?
10w40?
15w50?
or
20w50?

and what do you think for the RE Amemiya Super G Oil 10w40 SL Race Oil? is it suitable for me?

Thanks :)

Important to know the level of power and torque the car is making.

But at moderate power levels in your temps I wouldn't see a problem with the viscocity of oil you are running.

I use 10w30 in Japan. the only difference between RE oil and normal that I know of is that it is low ash, so it burns better when its injected. if you premix it won't even matter.

So no problem to use the RE Oil 10w40 in hot weather?

No problem at all, u can use anything u want.

RE is just a Brand, u pay more for the brand, there is nothing really special about it.

for your weather, 20w50 will suite u better

The viscosity of the oil in an FD is only a starting point. With normal fuel dilution the viscosity is going to go down, making the difference between these selection mostly moot.

That said, 10w-40 seems perfectly reasonable.
