RE-Speed : Front Upper Adjustable control arms

Our front upper control arms are about ready to go in production and we're seeing who might be interested in buying these as a group buy:

I don't see how those are going to work. The chassis attachment points are rotated 90 degrees. How will it bolt on?

I assume there will be a joint to attach to the stock mounting points. A 'T'-joint, if you will. Adjust the upper arm length in and out to affect suspension geometry.

There will be rod ends at those point threaded in there, with proper spacing to spacers to make them fit into the stock pick up points something as suchs, I'll see if I can draw them up real quick with the proper spacers such as these:

But as mentioned with our design you don't have to unbolt the whole arm to adjust the camber.

excuse my ignorance, but whats the benefit to thesE?

These are to give you camber adjustment by moving the upper arm inwards and outwards, would change the hub angle angle.

Whats the point of these? The lowers allow you to adjust the camber already. Seems pretty pointless to me.

The allow you to do a lot more with suspension geometry than you are currently capable of. These are not for a street car.

Than can be used on the street, but will most likely result in a slightly noisier ride as they spherical bearings, rod ends do not absorb the shock of driving like they do through rubber. This generally translates into a better feel of what the car is doing though.

This would be interesting to some of the hard core autox guys like Andy McGee and Strelniaks and maybe some of the race guys like Damian, ShipNout or fingerlock. Their cars are fully built autox and race machines that aren't street driven.

Beyond that, don't know what the benefit would be on a street driven car.


Maybe this thread would be better off in the Race section?

You can also improve the product by adding some type of ducting/blade
so it'll direct air to the rotors for cooling.
like splparts.com has them for Nissan.

There will be dust boots on the spherical bearings right?

I can probably work something for that yes.
