BlueRex 11-09-06 05:43 PM

Wow! Both hot looking cars.

Davin 11-09-06 06:07 PM

the first one is RXecret7's car, they went under a while ago. it was a family run business i think; which is sad.

the second is the Feast Power's Time Attack RX7 w/ Feast widebody and c-west everything else. the car sucked ass against Nagisa Auto's GTR and AutoSelect's RX7. the really sad part is that the record holder is a GM Power 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS of a record of 01:51.318 :balls:

oorx7 11-09-06 06:31 PM

Isn't the first one Jim laubs car? Not to sure how to spell his name. That car has seen quite abit of changes through the years.

turBRO [ArTiN] 11-09-06 07:38 PM

yea... the first riced out one is Jay Laubs..... i dono bout the second one

purerx7 11-09-06 08:09 PM

The first one is Jay Laubs car, riced out to hell, has over 50 best of show trophy's though, lots of work went into it, 2nd car is the feast sponsored car.

RE-Amemiya 11-09-06 08:12 PM

The first one is who everybody else said it was...except i thought his car was green now, unless that was his first one. He's had so many, oh well.

oorx7 11-09-06 08:37 PM

Well most of it is carbon fiber with a metalic green clear painted over it. I think the rest of it is still orange though. I have seen it in person a couple of times here in chicago. It actually started out black I belive.

purerx7 11-09-06 09:30 PM

yes it did start out as black, was very nice than.

RE-Amemiya 11-10-06 08:50 AM

^Ah, there it is.

For the original poster all you need to do to find more pics is a search for Jay Laub; i'm too lazy to post the ones i have.

chinaman 11-10-06 09:34 AM

Jay really fucked that car up! Too much shit on it. I love the Volks though, may just get a set.

mirabile 11-10-06 09:41 AM

you cant get a set of those. he had them custom made. Just like his brakes

1POINT3 11-10-06 10:18 AM

the first ones jay laubs fd. how he got the RE kit, i dont know. now hes getting all of his money from BP gas, so now its a nasty green. even changed the inside too. i think it all looks like crap. to me this guy is the biggest sell out in the world.

ptrhahn 11-10-06 10:20 AM

"...Jays car is the most successful show car thats out there..."

That is debatable. It definitely had magazine coverage...
WTF is a "land sponsor"?

mirabile 11-10-06 10:42 AM

Jay's car is absolutely "one of" if not "the" most sucessful show car on the Hot Import Nights circuit, the Funk Flex, Dub, circuit. I do not this anyone has come close to garnering as many awards in that group of shows. I could be wrong, but I believe he is the all time leader for Best of Show on the HIN circuit, claims have been made that he has never been beaten on that circuit, which is a great accomplishment.
Jay took that car more mainstream in a true business way. From those early tweeter magazines when it was black to orange and now green. To stay competitive on the circuit you must make changes.
What he did is absolutely respectable whether you like his taste and style or not.
I do.

MAZDASPEEDS FD3S 11-10-06 10:43 AM

Landed sponsors thats what I meant.Jay's getting paid from companys that want their decal on his car. Some might think that its over done but hgey if your getting $100,000 + dollors a year to have your fd look like that then more power to you. Also , he still representing the rotary .So if you don,t like it then that's your problem--DON'T HATE THE PLAYER HATE THE GAME.

ptrhahn 11-10-06 10:58 AM

Looks like the judging criteria at these "shows" is "who tacked the most useless shit onto and into their car?".

I don't want them exactly like that Joe. He probably has 20's on the car from the way they look. I'm looking to get 18's. I have some friends in the industry.

I definately agree!

ZumSpeedRX-7 11-10-06 01:01 PM

i dont mind the looks of Jay's car. but the most upsetting part is that that car's probably never seen a track in its life. so all those expenseive, aero-tested parts are pretty much useless. unless you are trying to get the best balance getting the car on and off the trailor.

and as for show cars, you cant forget about Les Wong's Endless RX-7. That's a sexy show car. and RXecret7's show car was really nice too. like someone said, it was too bad they went out of business.

Seriously, look at the humongous tacked on splitters on the front - like the actual splitters that RE Amemiya engineered on the bumper weren't enough?!

Yeah, I can respect that the guy gets paid to do this, but I've never understood the whole "show" scene. It's like building a car for the sole act of impressing others... it feels a bit high school for my sensibilities.

Yeah, Les Wong's car was absolutely sexy with the Run Racing headlights, Work wheels, and flared rear fenders. It wasn't too extreme and kept the original lines of the car intact. Didn't he show up for a SevenStock?

DomFD3S 11-10-06 03:46 PM

Speaking of Les Wong...his car is up for sale. http://www.speedaddicts.com/leswong
(You have to check the Cars for Sale area)
