RE-Amemiya bodykit
RE amemiya is selling the 2005 JGTC championship bodykit for the rx7. Price for the whole kit (including the hood) is for $698.000jp ($6500).
Not bad considering the 1997 kit is $10,000 @ rotaryextreme http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/whatsnew...t_body_kit.jpg http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/whatsnew...body_kit_3.jpg http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/race/pic/gt_04/rd_7/013.jpg http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/race/pic/gt_04/rd_7/022.jpg IWANNA SEE WHAT YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE KIT! |
Looks like lots of yellow boxes stuck to the side
I just threw up in my mouth. Ug.
Yeah, I'm not too pleased with that bodykit. I'm a huge fan of bodykits, but I want something smooth that blends in. That looks too chunky.
it needs stickers
the aero parts used on the real GT car are much wider/more agressive than RE's scaled down street versions. still cool though.
IMO... It's baddass! Although, for a streetcar, it may be a bit too much... When I was at JGTC, I was at the Amemia pit watching the crew do their thing. I was in complete awe of the car. (This was however before I had an FD). Badass none-the-less, badass...
The street version is more tone down. it needs the JGTC lights to complete the kit as well as the wing.
yeah i like the rear of the car but the front looks like a homeless mans cardboard box!
that body kit got lost in translation from track to street.
I like the bumper look, just not my thing on the fenders. GRanted it looks great on their GT car, but on the street hummmmm not my thing thats for sure.
i just got one thing to say about the body kit :puke:
is it me or does the front of the car look 300 times bigger than the rear
that bodykit is a waste of money
I think we're missing the point of this aero kit.If you want something for the street or just for looks then there are plenty of options out there, but this kit ,even scaled down,is still meant for those who compete and want the additional downforce and aren't part of a major race team.If you like the look and can part with the cash then go for it,but PLEASE don't rice it out like another infamous orange 7 with enough dimestore crap on it to qualify as a carnival ride!I'm okay with big wings and stickers but somewhere you have to draw the line.
Kit looks like shit
Not the best looking kit in town, but probably useful for racing
Makes the RX-7 look like a Viper rip-off.
I'll buy it... but only if it comes withs the 3-rotor swap kit too
why would you make an FD look like that???????????????????
and pay to do it! |
its way more function than form for my taste
theres a lot more kits out there that are way nicer for that price if not cheaper...
but hey, whatever tickles your pickle dude. just know where to draw the line ^^ |

Bottom line, I'm disappointed they even bothered to release such a half-ass job of the JGTC kit. |
Yeah...I would definately pass on that kit. It doesn't look good at all. Does not flow with the lines of the car.

http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/race/pic/gt_04/rd_7/013.jpg its like those counter fit mini commercials :D ...all you have to do is put some stickers on and paint it yellow... |
dont forget the blue
i think what makes it ugly is the fender. look at the race version, see the gap from the top of the wheel to the top of the fender? Now look at the street kit version. Its like 10X thicker.
