Random bouncing idle...
 

Alright hate to do this but looking for some ideas before I dig in, today randomly the car started to bounce in between 1000-3000 rpms but will stop and run absolutely fine the rest of the time no vacuum leaks. Anyone got any idea that causes this? Map sensor?

Go to shop and get it looked at. There is a list of 400000000000 things that it could be.

Had same issue. Check thermowax for sticking. Easy fix.

Dangit thanks roondawg I forgot about that thing I bypassed it on my other car years ago but it's still factory on this FD thanks man I'll start there

Vacuum leak is still a possibility, stuck/dirty ISC is another common culprit.

Thanks for the response Dale! From what I could tell it was the thermowax sticking so a little cleaning and WD to the plunger has seemed to free it up. Haha fingers crossed it stays this way until I get motivated to do another full emision removal...

My car did this when I first bought it.

The car also have several bad vacuum leaks and a damaged TPS.

Repaired all vacuum lines and intake pipes, changed the TPS and the issue is gone
