Rad modification for v-mount?

well i'm in the middle of a custom v-mount setup, searched but no luck on finding an answer. i am going to modify my aluminum rad so both hoses are at the top towards my engine, question is when modding the rad i see guys are building another small tank onto rad with another coolant hose fitting, is there any devider between the hose tanks? with both on top with no devider coolant could just pass over to the other hose? am i missing somthing here? thanks 4 any input

i just tappered my other end tank down like the other one making a v in the middle. I ran water through it and it took a while going down the rad then coming up to the other pipe. I know there is a lot more preasure on the system but seems to work just fine. Maybe some other people can shed some light on what they did.

yea that is what we are doing but at the bottom of the v in the middle of the 2 tanks there will be an opening aprox1/4 inch to the top of the rad tubes, just curious if this is how everybody else has them thanks

Here's mine along with the "final" product. You definitely need a "splitter" if you want flow in the proper direction. Just "tack" in the splitter, then everything gets sealed when you run the center bead for the new tank.

It's similar to Chucks. The openings are in the same spot.
