I want to install a 4 point harness but i don't know where to mount the top belts, do you attach them to the rear stut bar? i suppose the other two goes into the oem bolts for the seat belt.

thanks a lot

If you are road racing you don't want to use the strut bar; it would buckle under an impact. It is not designed to handle the load from the shoulder harness, nor is any strut bar for that matter. You need to get the harness bar from M2 Performance that replaces the strut bar but is much stronger. The other option is to mount a reinforced eye in the trunk floor for the shoulder harnesses to connect to but the M2 solution is much better.

If you are using this harness only for autocross to "hold you in the seat", I would say the stock strut bar is ok to put the harness around. Just realize if you ever hit something it won't be able to hold you.

hmm ok, do you have any pic of that strut bar?

i can't put it on the floor because i have a big stereo system and i can't attach it under it.

Go to m2performance.com

They offer a roll cage with a harness bar. The bar can be bought seperately and merely bolts in place of the rear strut brace and is desinged to accept shoulder harnesses. I think it was like $250.

Puma,
I bought a Cusco rear bar, and i "looped" the 4 point harneses thru there, they seem fine... and they work out pretty well too

Go to my website links and click on the pics for a better view of how my 4-point Schroth harnesses were installed. Kenny Brown Performance used one of the rear strut bolts as the rear attachment point. It's very sturdy, and will not buckle.
