The hot side on the RX6 is really tiny, of course that helps with quick spool characteristics, but it looks like it would really choke the engine. Max is also making the same switch.

the rx6 looks right for the street, or moderate boost at the circuits. The R85 wil have very low backpressure at high power levels, for very high VE numbers. Great for track use.

Who makes that turbo? Also, what numbers are you expecting from the new turbo?

It's a TEC turbo made for Reactive Racing/KG-Parts.

see glass_man's coments above on the turbo...

as for numbers, I will have steve kan tune it at 15 psi ....BUT....I probably will only run 12psi on the track.... my goal is around 400 rwhp at 12 psi on a conservative road racing tune. at 15 psi im guessing it will make 450+ rwhp on a safe tune.

Wow. Those hotsides are, um, a little different

I have driven a few rx-6 FDs and they felt flat at high rpms. I wasn't impressed, esp for the price of that kit. Looking forward to the r85 #s
