R1 with rear speakers?
why?
wouldn't it make more sense for the touring to have rears? and is it easy to install rear speakers in a touring? |
I hope that you are refering to the bose models.
The holes are already there in the touring except that mazda made them into bins. So it should be pretty easy to instal rear speakers. |
Yeaa you have to have the rear brackets if you want to put speakers in the rear of the touring model. While were at it...does anyone have these brackets for sale? I'm tire of the bose stuff. :(

Isn't it obvious....
In the touring your rear mid-bass imaging comes from your Acoustic Tube. The lack, makes it neccesary for our R1's to have rear speakers. You don't NEED brackets either. Just make a solid mount somehow. In my first touring, I put 6x9's back there and just braced them well so they never shifted. In this new R1......you would not belive my stereo...it is beautiful! -One 10" sub sunk under the carpet into the spare well -Bose Acoustic Wave out of my Touring w/ hatch cover -Four 4-way 6x9's (over bins and in doors) -Two 6" (in doors) -Two Kicker tweeters (in doors) -DVD and TV with Dolby Surround Imaging I have EVERY possible Hz range covered....to make that all sound EVEN better. The first thing I did after buying the R1 was strip the interior to the bare metal and install a 6-8 sq yards of filler/deadner in every crevice and wall. I even filled the doors, so no more hollow 'ting' when you shut the door, just a solid -quaility car- shut. Before I went non-seq....even with my full exhaust I would have bet my car to be one of the quietest FD's in the country...if not world. I'm not greedy, if you want the best..by all means copy me;) Raj |

I did 5 1/2 components back there... |

How much does it weigh and what cost? Hopefully it's cheap enough I can buy it all and lay in a piece each time I take off an interior panel. Dave |
so where do you get the brackets?
|
Raj,
What are you going to do if you get a flat tire? |
