They need to have it later in the year or move south. I went last year and was miserable and was planning on going this year until a few days before the event. Spring weather is just too unpredictable in the midwest.

Oh, BTW, that black car....

Looking very nice Eric....awesome choice of color. The car looks fucking mean....too bad it's a slow broken turd, but hey, it looks fast and that's what counts. j/k :)

The turnout was great this year all things considered. We are very pleased with the response we have received from the attendees.

The issues on moving the event to a warmer month is:
1. Indy is a great centralized location with a wonderful racing history and we do not want to move the event.
2. The track is booked solid from this past weekend until the end of October. I guess we could do it in November, but then you are playing the weather game once again.
3. Each event at the track is automatically guaranteed the option of picking up their weekend for the following year should they so choose
4. We are next in line should a later date open up. We are hoping for a June date and have been told it is a possibility as one event might be giving up their weekend after June of 2005
5. We are cognizant of other rotary events around the country and do not want to infringe on their dates. We feel June would be ok, but July/August moves us too close to both Rotorfest and the MRR in August. September/October moves us too close to Sevenstock all of which are great events every rotary owner should attend.

Trust me, we don't want to do the event in April again. Even with all the weather planning we did for 2005 mother nature still reared her ugly head and made life tough. I feel bad for all those who wanted to drag race. We debated switching the road course and drag/autox days around, but at the time the weather forecast was calling for more rain on Sunday than on Saturday. Instead it just turned too cold to run the drag strip safely.

>>That black FD with the CCW's, isnt that the FD that was in SCC mag a couple years ago in the Ultimate Handling contest or whatever, owned by a Wolfgang Hoeck or something?<<

Nope, that's my car, had it since 1996. Used to be an SCCA Solo II car in SS, but was retired when the Z06's came onto the scene in 2001. It won the SS Solo II SS Nationals Championship in 1999, and the Pro Solo National Championship in 2000 with my husband drivng. I took it to a Solo II National Championship win in SSL in 2000, since then it's been undergoing a slow change to an SM2 car. At this point all the suspension and relocation work is done, and I'm waiting on a rebuild on the the 20B that will be transplanted into the car.
