R-Magic Tow hook?
Hey guys, there used to be this R-Magic tow hook and license plate relocator for sale somewhere. I thought it was jt-imports but I talked to Jason and they say they never sold it. The unit is a tow hook for the front of the FD and relocates the license plate to mount on the tow hook so it doesn't block the intercooler/radiator area. Does anyone know if this thing is still for sale anywhere? Thanks, -Joe
(Here's a pic of it in use on Jspecracer7's car:) http://www.sportcarmotion.com/customerjspec7.htm |

Im here and listening.
Where and when did R-magic sell them J-spec? I cant find them...... |
jspecracer7 - That sucks that it broke - did it break from use or something else? Maybe it's not such a good tow hook afterall...lol BTW - great car!! I really like the direction you took on your car and your website(s) were very insightful.
jt-imports (Jason) - I thought they were for sale even just a few months ago somewhere...I searched the web and only came up with it on jspecracer7's sites so I have no clue where I saw them... |

I bought it because in Japan, we have to have our license plate up front and I figured since I own an "unreliable piece of sh*t" I'd probably be getting towed a lot. Well, I FINALLY used it this last time I blew my motor(spun a front stationary gear bearing)...over 2 +year later. Basically, it's a 1/4 " steel plate that hangs down from the frame of the car and a 1" X 1" steel beam with 2 10mm bolts on the bottom and a threaded hole at the end. the 2 10mm bolts hold the license plate up, and the threaded hole is where you put the hook that comes with the kit. Well, I threaded the hook into the beam no problem and got myself towed appx 10 kilometers doing no more than 50km max speed(35mph). When I finished my rebuild, I put my bumper back on and tried to take the hook out...and the hook snapped. So now I have an $80 license plate holder:sad: |

Ok I found it... Thanks... Its in the NEW parts catalog.
I just couldnt find it on their webpage. |
jt-imports- Are you gonna/or can you get it ? Will you put it on your site?Or should i just PM you? Jspec- You can still use it as a liscence plate holder even though the tow hook snapped? We have the same liscence plate laws in Hawaii. I'm tired of donating 55 bucks to the state.:(
