r-magic ku mount IC - discuss
http://www.rmagic.net/shop_vol2/new/...8/kunoji_2.JPG
ku mount - in other words, a v-mount setup. this is the only pic I can find - what do you think about the pipework? |
I dont think the intercooler piping is curved enough.
|
well, its pipework and it is bent and it is probably 2.5 inch and it has air flowing through it ( sumtimes) and it is hard and it is round and it is not unlike what I have in my bay except.....its kinda different.
More to the point............WHY HAS THIS GUY STILL GOT HIS AIRPUMP!!! |

More to the point............WHY HAS THIS GUY STILL GOT HIS AIRPUMP!!! 1. He's lazy 2. He wants to pass emisions 3. Does it really matter Anyways, the you don't want to run too much piping. The more piping, the more air has to travel to get to your motor. This is bad, well, if you're trying to run mad horses. Looks good from what I can see though. |
it has one 90 degree bend on the hotside and a 180 on the other side....doesn't seem like it would flow too well
|
looks really cluttered compared to the rotary extreme one.
|
is it me, or is there no fins...

What a crap design!
You really couldn't make one stupider without trying really hard. They used a bad IC, so ended up bending the pipes all around. Morons. A different IC with the pipes coming off the back of the endtanks would greatly reduce the restriction and overall path. Unless you think it is nice because you can polish the pipes and the open your hood and :mspank: at the bling, run away. |

Zach: I live in Japan, so I won't be ordering a kit from the US. Thanks for the advice anyway.
I posted this because I have my doubts about the pipework (which is why I noted it in my initial post). Before I saw this pic, I was including this kit in my 'potential' list - as it is quite good value for money here, and includes ic/rad/intakes in the kit. Pipework, however, certainly doesn't look very encouraging which is why I sought some technical opinion. |
If nothing else go to the website I mentioned and look at how the pipes are run. You'll get an idea about what some of us are talking about though. Much more of a straight shot into and out of the IC. It's a good visual starting point for you.

thanks, but I saw the original threads on it already.
The other two v-mounts on my list are amemiya and HKS - which are both sound designs. The price on this one attracted me, but the design suprised and shocked me when I finally got a good look at it. I'm not after advice, per se, just after technical opinions (wiser than mine) on this one |

I feel this kit is design for any who wants to keep everything in place just like stock car, but battery.
Some might not wanna move stuff around. Mean less modifying. If the price is right, he might want it. POM HB |
DaiOni, have a look at the Knightsports V-Mount kit. Looks good and the pipework isn't that bad either.
