quicklube put more oil in on top of the old
 

tiltle says it all. i did a search and didnt find anything on this topic.

they left my old oil in and then put 4 quarts in. now my motor runs like $#!+...

at first it was really sluggish going home, but the further i went it got better. it was smoking really bad. i got home and checked the dipstick and it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over the mark. so i hiked up the car with the jack from my s10 and drained a half bucket full. i put the car back down on the ground, checked the dipstick again (after wiping it) yep still over the line.

so now the transmission is covered and oil got into my intercooler and came out the bovs, etc.

i went there and the guy was a dick. what do you think? the bad part is i cant find the receipt, but everyone there knows me because of this. can i prove this messed up my car?

Do it yourself. Save money and know it was done right.
I suggest going there and seeing the manager.

that sucks man, sorry to hear about that. w/o a receipt i don't think you can do anything. i may be wrong though. i would just drain all of the oil that is in your engine, do the oil change yourself. your gonna have to clean out the i/c pipes and clean the i/c. some guys use carb cleaner, fuel or kerosine. kerosine would be the strongest and could cut right through the oil.

Here is the best thing you should do to your FD.

1. Empty the entire oil from the oil pan.
2. Change your oil and filter on your own. Don't take it to some stupid shop. ;)

It is extremely easy to change the oil on the FD. Also, Fram came out with a new design to replace the bolt from the oil pan, which I recommend.

I'm sorry man, that sucks, i would never take even my car ( maxima for now) to one of these places because I've heard too many horror stories. especially when (I hope) I buy the rx-7, a mechanic wouldn't ever get to look at the car, and forget about touching it, hehe, yeah, I would also recomend what others have said, drain the oil that's in there right now and fill it up with some fresh oil. preferebly synthetic (AMSOIL) it would take care of your engine better then any petroleum ever could, if you want info on this or want the oil let me know, I can get it for you at cost

I can't stand being taken advantage of....

I hate more when people don't take responsibility for there misktakes.

I would try to document EVERYTHING...try to get your credit card record for the oil change.

Then get another mechanic (independent, rotary friendly) to verify in writing the damage that was done due to the fact that more problems can pop up.

Then bring the information to the shop, a nice certified letter explaining things (again more documentation) and see what they will do to help alleviate the problem.

I agree, document EVERYTHING, and start looking for a lawyer who will help.
