QuickJack Question.

For those of you who use quick jacks, so you guys use the pinch weld blocks or the blocks that came with it? Only reason I ask is, my car has 99 spec side skirts and the pinch weld pucks aren’t quite tall enough and it compresses the side skirts. So I guess seeing what everyone else was doing. Thanks!

I use the smaller height rubber blocks on the pinch welds. But my car does not have side skirts. You probably will need to use something taller if the Quickjack frame is contacting the side skirts, or position the quickjack more to the inside so that the frame is clear of the side skirts (if that is possible to do).

I thought about using the blocks on the pinch welds, do you think it’s stable enough? I could prob use the taller blocks it comes with

The jacking points on the pinch welds (the 4 reinforced areas) are the location that Mazda intended for use when raising the car. If you use the rubber blocks you will be fine from a safety perspective.

I have used both the pinch weld blocks and the standard/taller blocks. It really makes no difference.

good to know but now I feel like I wasted money on the block 😂 appreciate the input though

I use the slotted blocks on the pinch welds. I have the 5000 series quickjack. No problems clearing the side skirts or pinch welds. My car is lowered moderately on springs and is not slammed.

I feel like the slotted blocks kind defeat the purpose of the quick jacks, which is to quickly jack your car up. Crouching down to line up the blocks perfectly on the pinch welds (which are mushroomed anyway tbh) is the exact kind of procedures with jackstands I bought the damn things to avoid.

It's really not much effort to put the blocks on the right spot. If you bought quickjacks to avoid that you need a different hobby.

Makes sense to min max your purchase, but hey, some people like to work harder, not smarter

I got the 7000 series (wife has an SUV) the tall blocks worked perfect in it! I love them so far, they’re just a bear to get off of the wall mounts and move around lol

My car was sitting for a while on the regular blocks an creased slightly in the middle regardless soo either block would work fine
