quick questions

i have searched around and found a few things about the 3 mod rule or w/e. but i never really found a straight answer to my question. i have a racingbeat exhaust. i want to get a downpipe , m2 airbox , and a BOV. i will still have the stock mid-pipe. will my car run to rich? or build up to much turbo? do i need to get a boost controller if i get all that? or can i just throw all of that on and expect it to run fine? please give me some good advice......im still learning here, not to knowlegable about stuff yet. thank u

You searched and couldn't find an answer?

Yes, those mods are perfectly fine on the stock ecu. Yes, you may have boost spiking or elevated boost and will need a manual or electronic boost controller to maintain boost at the stock level of 10 psi. Yes, you will still be running safely rich on the stock ecu. An aftermarket BOV won't improve performance, just empty a couple hundred dollars out of your wallet. If you want to hear the BOV noise, try venting the stock BOV (search on how-to). The stock BOV is pretty loud and this is free.

And my BEST advice is to leave the car pretty much alone until you actually DO know more about what you are doing. Even though some of the information is outdated (3-mod rule for example), the Robinette and FD3s.net links in the newbie FAQ thread (at top of page) contain TONS of good information. There are also many good threads in the 3rd gen archives here. Start reading....:)

Greddy Profec Type-S or used Greddy Profec Type B (original spec)

Just for clarification.....
When you say stock "midpipe" , your talking about the catalytic converter, right? It looks like a small muffler. rynberg was spot-on with the information he provided, unless you have a true midpipe. Hopefully, you don't.
