Quick question with pic.......

I just replaced my primary turbo(non-sequential) and was wondering if this control which is capped off(hopefully that is part of the non-sequential set up)can be removed . Thanks in advance

yeah thats the actuator that controls the butterfly in your y-pipe. it looks just like a throttle plate, and when closed it keeps charged air from the primary turbo from flowing backwards into the secondary turbo. u can remove it if u wish to remain non-sequential

I remove the actuator and the plate and shaft ,then weld all the holes closed .Then shave all that smooth . The straight end will go in the lathe and I cut down as far as I can then finish by hand . Looks like a different part . Some then get polished .

how do you keep the butterfly plate in the closed position once the actuator is removed?

Closed is the "LAST" position you want it in if your running non-sequential.

I used the bracket that was holding it on to make a block off plate. Welded the hole in the middle, grinded it down and it came out great. I used a little gasket maker to make sure it sealed 100%.
