quick question....

will a 3" ID coupler seal on a 2.75" pipe? Or is the gap too large?

Thanx

Maybe, pipe is measured by ID size so depending on the schedule pipe it is, it may work. 2.75" pipe must be 3" OD even if its schedule 10

That's pushing your luck. Since you're talking 2 3/4", I'm assuming you're talking intercooler couplers. That's just too prone to a leak or popping off for my comfort at that size difference.

http://www.atpturbo.com has nice silicone 2 3/4" couplers for a very reasonable price. I'd do it right.

Sorry for the late reply but yeah it's gonna be for intercooler piping. the reason i ask is i'm trying to modify the greddy FMIC piping for twins to fit for my newly installed To4r And i need a reducer that is also a 45 degree bend. and the closest one i can find is a 2.5" to 3"

Thnx for the input guys, any other help is greatly appreciated

The coupler is probably going to want to crease where the slack is.

hmm... any suggestions?

Thanx again for the input guys. In case anyone else islooking for something similar I found a 90 degree reducer of 2.5in - 2.75in @ www.siliconhoses.com It's a not the cheapest option but I shouldn't have to worry about making a good seal.
