Quick help/ spark plugs/ oil /what kind is rec.
ok i am going to an auto parts store in like 15 min. and i need to know what kind of oil and what viscosity is reccomended( or just the consensus )
and aslo if its ok to run all # 9's or should i stick to 7's and 9's also what brand plugs are best also if i keep stock plugs is this where they go ........9.....9......... ........7.....7......... this is looking at them from the drivers side fender is that correct but i would rather use all 9's but im not sure if that is a good idea or not my only mods are PFS catback + modded airbox |

so im not gonna go until the morning so i got some more time to decide
so should i use all #9's or not aslo would like valvoline 20w50 be ok, i saw that rx7.com sales 20w50 for turbo rotaries |
I think 20w50 is too thick. Unless youre living in Texas in August i think thats too thick. I use 10w30 and during the summer I might use one quart of 20w50. You should really do a search on the spark plugs. Using all 9's is better for certain driving (highway vs. city), I'm not sure which is which. Also, I dont think you have enough mods to warrant the use of all 9's. If I were you I'd use BUR7EQP and BUR9EQP. Hope this helps.

You can use either all 9s or 7s leading and 9s trailing, it won't matter much.
In the summer months I recommend running 20w50, your rotor and stationary gear bearings will thanks you. In the winter months you should run the thinner 10w30. I also highly recommend running a quality synthetic oil----rx7.com who you mentioned before has idemitsu oil, specially formulated for the rotary engine: http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fdengine_maintenance.html |
10w30, 7s and 9s (you are essentially stock) THREAD CLOSED
