questions about side seal clearancing
Im looking for advice from someone who builds their own engines. I have a very important qestion, not about fitment of side seals but how everyone does the tips of each side seal when it is ready to be finished off. After the side seal has been trimmed do you make sure to completely smooth out the squared corners where u sanded or grinded the side seal to fit the side seal tightly fits against the corner seal. I would say yes to this because that would weed out the possibility of a corner seal getting stuck or possible binding of the side seal it self. I would assume this may be the right way of doing things maybe? Or do you want the side seal to still maintain its squared ends so it looks a perfect diagonal line at the tips. Again im just assuming here that since the corner seal itself is a cylindrical shape wouldnt you want the side seal ends to have smooth cylindrical shape as well to prevent snagging? Please fill me in on the secret guys. Need some help here
