Question regaurding KNOCK readings looking for another apinion lots of details inside

im running stock twins with HKS twin intake, 3in DP., cat back, and front mount. also to saport this i am running apexie ecu with commander.
now im running a base map made for theses mods. i have looked into knock readings being high and some of the causes of this.

my questions is if my turbos have so much play they are grinding on the housing will this cause faulty knock readings?

also till i get a fine tune on her im running 100 Octane to just be on the safe side.
knock readings will spike to 180s. this reading normally is on warm up, crusing, and decel. when get into boost or any accel the readings drop. also once she is warm and im just at idle the readings are almost gone till i touch the peddle the slightest bit.

also take into consideration that there is no odiball popping, pinging, bad idle, or any hesitations or hickups.

the turbos are hitting the housing enuf were when cruising u can here them grinding once ur into any boost the noise of grinding starts to disapate. grinding noise is most noticeable when cruising and cold starts this coralats with the knock ratings.

Only worry about knock readings under boost, but the knock sensor is just a microphone it will pick up any noise. Your turbo grinding issue sounds pretty nasty tho, maybe you should stop driving the car until you can replace the turbos.

ya i already have another set geting ready to put them on. wall looking at info on the knock sensor thats prity much what i found out as well thats partly y i was thinking it was the turbos.

Change your knock sensor first.

My car reads 130's on the PFC commander for knock at idle. I bought a new knock sensor, I just haven't put it in yet.

Probably drivetrain or exhaust noise. I know of quite a few people with high-powered FD pseudo-track cars who got rid of their knock sensor some time ago.

Not to be a jerk, but consider spell checking any future posts..... reading that stuff gives me a headache and I doubt i'm not the only one :)
