question, micah ast cap part #

I have an aluminum ast made by Micah. It was from the first batch, does anyone know the stanley part # for the ast cap?

I couldn't find micah's screen name on the forum, that's why i posted this thread.

I have recently changed my e-mail address from gooseproductions@aol.com to gooseproductions@highstream.net which is linked to my forum PMs.

I began sending out 16lb caps (I don't have the number on me right now but I will find out) to match the manual's recommendation, but I currently use a lower pressure cap, Stant No.329 (flip top style).

There have been debates on which cap is better for the FD - lower pressure, less risk of exploding parts - higher pressure, better cooling.

Figuring out which cap would work best for my customers has been a hard one to nail down, and I have shipped both pressure caps in the past. Personally,I have run both and neither have caused any problems, and I have not noticed any significant temperature changes despite the pressure differences.

I have since switched to distributing the lower pressure cap to avoid confusion and allow the customer to buy a higher-pressure cap should they chose to.
