Question about wideband components

Is it possible to use different brand display gauges with the more popular WB modules?

Example:

Nice equation!

I can't remember the components, but I helped my friend wire a gauge and an unrelated sensor together. We had to program the output voltage of the sensor to match what the gauge wanted, had it reversed at one time (rich on sensor=lean on gauge) but we got it worked out. I believe most gauges just want a 0-5v signal, thats it...

If you want the Innovative gauge, why don't you just run the Innovative wideband?

That was just an example I posted. I'm not sure which wideband I want to go with. I like the features of some, but like the design, style and looks of others. The LC-1 will probably be the one I go with, but not sure I like the XD-16 (nor the price). PLX DM-5 is probably more to my liking, but they are on backorder till August. I also like the look of the FJO gauge, but the mounting depth of it is a con when compared to the other two.
