The ported engine definitely helps with spool.

the one in the manifold is removed.
the wastegate i ported, its the exhaust door on the secondary turbo i welded shut(just tacked the actuator rod on the outside) |
That's the pre-control door, which is normally open above 4500rpm. I've read that welding it shut works fine for NS, but have no direct experience.

You don't weld it shut, but full open. You are talking about the pre-control door, right? Use a 12mm to remove the two screws and pull the inspection/install door and weld it steady when it touches the door.
|
the thing is that it is already welded shut, and the turbos are installed.
what exactly will welding it shut do? |
Unecessary lag

I weld the hole closed but I also close the port in the exhaust track from the prespool chamber .I reshape the port by welding the port in the low side and grind the shape to flow better . With this done you get flow from one direction instead of a flow comming into the main stream to upset the moving stream of gasses .Hard to explain but this is a big part of the rich mans non seq .
