A question about a bridgeport

Ok I know you can make almost as much power with a street port. i know it effects your gas mileage. I know it has a unique.... some say crappy idle. but what I want to know is vacum related.
if the porting causes overlap. and basically functions as a large camshaft thereby reducing vacum in the engine and reducing the functionality of the power steering , breaks ect. ect. what happens if I just added a vacum canister from jegs to bring it back closet to normal.???

a couple of things first... one power steering is belt driven, not vacuum. 2 the breaks even if they were bad at idle... since when do you need good brakes at idle? when you need them most is decel which is your highest vacuum. you could add a vacuum reserve but i dont honestly see a need. just my .02

I would be drag racing from time to time, but I see what your talking about. Mostly I asked because there are alot of people that have mentioned the drawbacks of having a bridgeported engine and the lack of vacum is one of them
