Question about 99+ Tail Lights

Are the 99+ Taillights plug and play with a US Spec 94 RX-7 or do they require rewiring / new wiring harness ? How about the bulbs? are they the same or dfferent? If different, where can I purchase them? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if this would apply for any year JDM FD3S with circular tail lights? Thanks in advance.

The 99+ tail lights is really just the housing your putting on. If you've ever taken off your tail lights you'll see that there are three bulbs on each side which simply screw into this housing. When you put the 99+ ones one your simply just swapping the housing and reusing the same bulbs.

The 99+ front turn lights are a different story altogether and WILL require rewiring or you can purchase a harness already made up which will simply plug and play. I have the Knight Sport harness and I believe a few others make this same harness.

you might want to contact Sevenlust on the forums. He does a great job converting stock lights to 99 spec.
