Anyone has bought and used PWR radiator?
Can you post some comments?
I also wants to know the dimension, is it thicker than Fluidyne? How does it perform? Any problem with install?
And photos of install would be great.

I have the koyo and it is sweet! Easy to install also..

I just put in the M2 radiator which I believe to be the PWR radiator under another name. Well for me it works great. As far as the install check the SEARCH under radiator install. I used SR radiator install how-to and it was easy maybe the best step by step I've ever used.

I am not sure that PWR and M2 are the same. I too just had the M2 radiator installed. It just needed some minor trimming on the fan frame to fit due to the M2 SMIC. The RX7 store may still have the M2 radiators in stock. You might ask Jason if he knows the difference between the two.

I installed the PWR radiator this past weekend but haven't driven the car yet. The construction is first rate and it has all the stock fittings. I mounted it with a greddy 2 row FM and it was a tight fit. There is a bunch of info about it on a certain vender page that jason apparently doesn't like anyone to talk about since he deleted my entire post re my greddy fmic install because I mentioned that this nameless vender went out of his way for me. Really pisses me off because I took the time to write it and most of it had nothing to do w the vender.

What is the thickness? Do I need to modify brackets and stuff?
Any problem with any air intake?

Not sure about the PWR, but I'm pretty sure the fluidyne is 38mm thick and the koyo is 55mm thick. Thicker isn't always better, though: the fluidyne drops right in (I've heard of koyo fitment probs) and supposedly the koyo cools *less* b/c it's too thick, which inhibits airflow. Take that last bit w/a grain of salt; I'm not sure how much stock I put in it.

I will tell you I tracked my FD in 100 degree tx heat two weeks ago at Motorsports Ranch. I drove the shit out of my FD at 11 psi and my temps stayed reasonable longer than the guys running stock rads.

yep PWR (paul wheel racing) and m2 are the same. made in oz and shipped to US to be sold as m2. MIne went in with no problems but i have no air box. haven't started the car yet so can't comment on performance.

Going off topic, has anybody tried to fit a Griffin rad w stock twins? they're cheap and massive. M2 told me that don't fit w/o a single though.

i've had a fluidyne before but it didn't fit perfectly with my m2 medium ic. next time i will try the koyo since i've heard reports it'll be ok with the intercooler.

If anyone needs a PWR radiator let me know. I have not personally seen one so I cant comment on the fit and finish.

I just bought a M2 radiator from Jason at the rx7store (thanks for getting it to me so quickly, Jason). It was slightly thinner than the Koyo that I had, and I need a bit more room for what I'm doing, so I sold the Koyo. Both the M2 and Koyo were nicely made and finished.

Regarding whether the PWR and M2 radiators are the same, I have no idea, but I can tell you there is no giant red PWR logo painted on the core of the M2 :)

I think the 2 row should help with cooling.

What is the thickness of the M2? I think its 55mm.

If the Fluidyne didn't fit right, why would the Koyo??? What kind of application are you using them for, and what setup??? R1, SMIC/FMIC, etc...
Are you sure you didn't get them mixed up?

I want to replace the radiator. I still have stock airbox and stock IC.
I don't have plan to change those yet...

the way the fluidyne is designed the places where the fans mounted on flush to the radiator were too high and this pushed my m2 medium duct up too far so it would not fit right. i read a post a long time ago about someone fitting the m2 medium ok with a koyo. i'm assuming it will fit better than the fluidyne. otherwise it will be time to do some fan hacking...

I don't think you will have any problem with your stock air box and the M2 radiator, even with the M2 airbox there was no fitment problem.

So this is NOT true. It is true the M2 and MazdaComp are the same and made by Ron Davis but PWR is not. I have both and there are distinct differences.

• PWR has a wider core, about 24.5" compared to 23 for the Ron Davis
• Ron Davis has some fins that seal the sides of the radiator, preventing air to escape past the sides
• Ron Davis radiators use some sort of epoxy to seal the tubes to the tanks. PWR doesn't

This last point is why I have both, my MazdaComp failed. The epoxy eventually breaks down and cracks, creating leaks. It lasted like 10 years but it could have lasted longer in my opinion.

Ummm. that's from 2002. M2 doesn't exist anymore.

Impressive 19 year 1 month bump.

FWIW my Koyo from 1999 is still in great shape.... for now.

This is still good to know if people have these radiators.

At this point it's hard to argue with the Koyo - quality fit, good performance, and will last damn near forever.
