Prosport Gauge Porn

So I have my 4 gauge pod on my dash and hooked up Water, oil, Boost, and A/F EVO series. I have Blue for day and Red at night to match the red gauge cluster already there. Here are a couple pics....

Here they are in action.

The only issue I have with those pods are the way to secure them to the dash. The old clips from the speaker panel really did not catch the fins on the base plate so they really are just sitting there by gravity. I guess some velcro will help....

They definitely look nice! Not a huge fan of Prosport, but I hope they work well for you.

As far as attachment, it depends on if you were looking for a permanent solution. Obviously you don't want to glue or screw them down to your nice clean dash. With a sacrificial center speaker cover, I would hard mount a thin strip of aluminum long ways. Drill holes in the strip, and the cover, and bolt through them. Then mount your gauges to that. Epoxy should work well. I would paint the strip flat black, so it will be completely unnoticeable, as just the edges would show if at all.

Once all mounted, the gauges should pop in and out with the speaker cover as a base.

i got the same ones. i loved them when i had them in. i had the ati gauge pod that had the swivels on them. the only thing i didnt like is that theyre kind of like an lcd screen. they kind of need to be facing you directly otherwise the image isnt as crisp..... as in you cant see it.

other than that... they are great looking gauges and for the price, you cant argue...

You can probably add some 3M tape to help secure the clips to the legs, gauges look good except that the furthest right gauge seems to be pretty far away from your view, looks like they just added 1 extra pod to their 3 gauge pod and call it a day and didn't really bother to center them, unless that's just the camera angle.

This is how my flyrx7 quad pod sits with Speedhut gauges.

Agreed with nopis10, I have water boost and oil in evo prostport and its very hard to see in any daylight unless they are facing right at you. kinda bummed when I set them up and started driving. will change soon

Maybe some tinted windows might help.......I never had a problem yet but I don't look at the gauges all the time anyways. I am only getting a quick glance of what they are reading at certain times pushing the throttle. I can see them being annoying if your on the track.

You can get Gauge visors from Glowshift that will help with the sun glare.
they got em for like 4.99 a piece.
They are like a brim on a baseball cap.

Now that I took my car out of the garage first time since installing these gauges are hard to see....... I am bummed now. Any alternatives?

My Prosports came with gauge visors. I have mine set on Orange to coordinate with the stock gauges mounted to my TurboVerts A pillar. I have no problem seeing them.
