Nice Jeff!! Do you do this for a living? Seems like you go through these pretty quick

Hey Jeff,

I look forward to seeing the finished product. If it's anything close to your last project it will look great. Is this a keeper or are planning on selling it?

I'm a mechanical engineer for a living. I play with FDs for race tire $$;).

I'm selling it, hopefully to someone that appreciates a practically perfect FD. It is getting painted without the doors or hatch on it. No tape lines, no dings, etc.

Hopefully this one will be painted in 1.5 wks.

Funny thing is the same guy that did your black R1 is the same guy doing the work on my cars;).

Looks like my father garage, both mine and my fathers 93 montego blue Rx7s siting in it.

Pulling and cutting started. Look at the last pic.

Good job, maybe someday you'll get nominated for the Noble Peace Price for all the Sevens you've resurrected, well, at least if I ruled the world....

turbojeff,

just how in the hell did you get that door harness body connector off? ;)

When I tried to remove mine, it felt like there were pinch-release tabs on it, covered by the boot. It felt like the boot was going to perforate when I was squeezing it, so was too chickensh*t to finish the job at the time.

It is good that you slavage up those poor fds. Kudos to you man...you keep bring them back from the dead ...
:bow:thank you:bow:

Peel the boot off, it just fits in a little flange. The clip/release dealy is on the top of the connector. My 93 manual says it is on the side, NOT!

looks like a fun project... keep us updated :)

My manual has been misinformed as well. Glad to know the boot can come off first -- another little detail left out of the manual! :P

Thanks TJ. :D
