ProfecB installation?

I searched and I can't find any reference to where people have run the electronics through the firewall. I'm going to mount it on it's side by the abs system under the backet with the nipples facing the motor. DO you think this is a cool enough place for the motor? Also I would love to see some pictures of others. Thanks in advance.

I would like to know the answer to this to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Profec B solenoid was mounted using an existing hole on the passenger side fender right behind the ABS. It is about the coolest place you are going to get on that side of the motor -- mine seems to be working just fine and it doesn't get that hot after a drive. The tubing and electrical stuff was run through the grommet where the engine harness runs through, along with the sensor wires for all of my gauges. The only thing with the Profec B is it uses normal vacuum tubing for the firewall penetration. You should use a hard vacuum tube inserted in the vacuum tubing to prevent it from being crushed close. So far, the only negative of the installation is that I can hear a little bit of engine noise coming from the penetration but I haven't bothered to seal it up yet, no big deal.

BTW, I had my mechanic install mine over my Christmas vacation, so I didn't actually do it myself. I love driving the car, not working on it.... :)

Thank you rynberg.

Mine is mounted in the same place as Rynberg and I ran everything through the same place in the firewall. I've had zero problems with this location and have been very pleased. Good luck!
