ProEFI EMS?
 

Has anyone ran the ProEFI engine management system on the 13b or 20b setups? I've been away from the community for a while, but I am planning to come back and build another FD. Just curious to see if this EMS has been used/tested in the RX7 community.

I was debating it for my next car and wanted to utilize the flex fuel sensors as well as E85 to keep the FD running strong, seems like the best possible setup out there for maximizing the potential of the engine configuration while keeping the highest level of safety margins in tact. I know it's not a cheap route, like a PFC, but the capabilities far and away exceed those of the basic EMS. Just curious as all, I tried to search to no avail.

I haven't heard of that EMS but that doesn't mean much.

Check out the Link G4-RX. Its plug and play and supports the GM E85 sensors for a true plug and play setup. That's the route I will be going.

Just discuss it over EFI university forum. The very same person who designed these will certainly hook you up with tune. I´m pretty sure it was discussed not long ago and he mentioned benefits of his ECU....

Some friends of mine use it on their drag cars (Hondas) it has crazy capabilities like traction control. The hard part is finding some one to tune all those extra capabilities.

I have a local tuner here in Houston who works on the ProEFI systems (Chris Delgado) from SSA. I've looked on the ProEFI site and did not see anything listed for Mazda's, but I feel that with E85 and a ProEFI, you can drastically reduce the chances of blowing your FD up since this EMS is just loaded with self tuning parameters.

Most ecu claim a lot of self tuning, but it doesn't work that well.. I've used several that have it..

Word is the Haltech Sport series are up to receive flex fuel sensor support. Assuming they are using the GM sensor as I don't know of any others.

worth looking into, i just checked and they seem to have decent flexibility and their basic model is even cheaper than those piece of shit microtechs..
