Problem............SOLVED!!
OK recently I posted about a weird idle. Like something wrong with the deceleration method. When reved after warm up it wouldnt settle to a normal idle, it would go to low(400rpm) then recover after shaking for about 3 seconds. Ok after about an hour fidging with stuff like the dash pot, idle control and such. Even checked for a vacuum leak using the WD-40 method. We finally found out that the screw on the Dashpot that controls the throttle linkage agianst the Dashpot was set to high. We lowered it and now no falling below idle when decelerated. Sooooo.. if someone has this symptom I suggest this route. Thank you everybody for helping me.;)

Yeah I adjusted the screw downwards and now it doesnt even do it. Just slows down right before the correct idle and softly settles.

So by dash pot screw, are you reffering to the idle control screw below the intake elbow? I'm a little confused by the terminology.

I wish I could show you a picture. Its not under the throttlebody. If you can locate the dashpot, theres a screw right on top of it. Its not by the firewall, its on the otherside. You dont have to take off anything to get to it. Theres a nut you loosen then screw down a turn then try it. If you can locate the Dashpot then its really simple.

Ok, your talking about the screw and nut system that adjust the throttle cable manually? Did adjusting the screw raise your idle or simply pull in any slack on the cable eliminating the drop in rpms? I have planned on raising my idle using this method, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

HAHAHA, ok maybe it is the throttle cable, Iam going outside to check it agian. What the dash pot does is slow down the throttle during deceleration. That's why when you rev it to say 3k and when it drops it doesnt go directly to 700rpm, it slows down around 1500rpm and drops it to 700 rpm gently. Thats what it does. It raised it but I mean barely noticable, I think you might have got it with saying slack in the cable. You never know. I had to do a 1 and a 1/2 turns down to get it right.

Ok, I think i'm with you now:) It makes sense if you think about it, any lost tension in the throttle cable would cause a drop in rpms when decelerating, so depending on how much you adjust the screw you would either raise your idle, or set the tension on the cable so that the idle settles properly keeping the drop from occuring. I figured something was wrong with my throttle cable adjustment, since on my haltech it shows me at 0 percent throttle even if I push the throttle down slightly. Basically what should happen when I adjust the throttle cable and press the throttle in is, it should read slightly above 0 percent throttle....i'm guessing 2-4 percent. Cool :D
