I stripped my screws out on the last manifold I did, had to drill them out. It is no big deal, just start with a small drill bit.

It's simple. The screws on the shaft have a tendacy to swell up at the end making it difficult to screw out. All you need to do is take a chisel, remove the end of the screw sticking out of the rod, and it should be easy to screw out there after

Easy Fix for Stripped Screws
If they are phillips-head, which I assume they are, cut a groove in the top of the head of the stripped screw with a hacksaw if there is enough exposed to do so. This way you can use a flat-head screw driver to take the screw out.

Drill out the screws. The ends are mushroomed flat to prevent them from dislodging into the tract.
Use a long nose pliers and work that disk out. It might be difficult due to the burrs created by drilling. |
