Problem. Please help

I've got a rebuilt engine with about 600 miles on it. I was driving home from the store today, not boosting, and suddenly the exhaust got really loud. I gave a little extra gas and noticed that it won't boost at all. It comes right up to zero, and won't go any higher. Other than this, the engine runs fine. I know I've seen a thread about his on here, but I can't find it now. Any help is much appreciated.

My mods are:
Streetport
BNR Stage 3's
Intake
fmic
dp, mp, cb
850 cc primaries
1300 cc secondaries
Apexi pfc with datalogit
fuel pump
radiator
other stuff that shouldn't mater.

I dont know about the noise but you might have a loose hose, but I would also look at your turbo mainfold gaskets

What RPM where you at? if you had previously went above 4500 and hadnt gone below I beleive 3k then both turbos were locked in and the exhaust is noticably louder. as far as the boost sounds like a sleave in your IC piping came off.

I did notice when I wired my turbo control gate open my exhaust tone did get louder.

I was at about 4500 rpm or so. It was the one of the first times I've taken the engine that high since it's still in break in. But the exhuast stayed loud after it came down to idle and through the entire rpm range the rest of the way home. Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm running a simplified sequential setup. I'll check all my hoses asap. I looked, but couldn't find anywhere the intake piping was loose. Is the turbo control gate the same as the turbo control valve?

Take a look under the car at the Turbo Control actuator. Make sure the c-clip didn't come off the actuator arm.

Start at the manifold and go from there make sure none of the nut came loose also make sure you have the rubber gasket there, I've done that unce.

strange wastegate problem

I posted about this a couple days ago, but it already got deleted. I think my wastegate is getting stuck open.

I'm at about 750 miles into my break-in, and I read on here that I can now take the rpm's up to 5-6k, so I tried it, but stayed really low on boost (like 1psi). Once I got to about 5k, it transitioned over (I think), at least it felt like it, and the exhaust got really loud which sounds like it's supposed to. The problem is that when the rpm's come back down, the exhaust stays loud and then I don't start getting any boost until 5k, when it feels like it's transitioning again. Whenever I shut the engine off and let it cool down completely, but that's the only way I seem to be able to make it go back to normal.

A guy I know said to take the vacuum hose off the wastegate and squirt some WD-40 in it to loosen it up. Does this sound like a good idea to try? Anyone have any other suggestions?

I'm using an un-tuned power fc too, so is there anything that it might be doing to do this?

the "loudness" you are hearing is not the wastegate, its the charge door opening for the secondary turbo. something is causing the door to get stuck open until it cools. check to make sure that the linkage under the car is working right. get the car hot so the door gets stuck open. turn off the car and look under the car to make sure its still open. then unhook the vac. lines to the actuator and see if it closes. if it does u have a vaccuum problem. if it doesn't close then your actuator is probably just worn out and needs to be replaced

Came across this link the other day about shitty turbo control solenoids. Sounds like it's the same problem as you are having.

Thanks. I'll look into both of those things this weekend hopefully.
