Sounds like a faulty sensor or wiring. Maybe you blew something, did you do some cool down driving before you parked it? Did you let things get circulated before you started driving fast again. mods?? need more info and then someone else more intelligent than me can chime in.

check the map sensor hose (both ends), check the TPS

I suggest checking the MAP and TPS like the others mentioned, and also change your fuel filter. Dave |
alright i will do that anything else i should check for
|
still the same problem.. i have no clue whats going on its been in the shop for 2 weeks. it would be fixed for like about a day or so then the problem would come back. they said to me that they had checked everything but i doubt it their lieing suck of shits..they checked ecu and all any1 got clue what else it could be?
|
The shop's had it for 2 WEEKS? Eeesh. Get it out of there and either find somewhere else, find a few local RX-7 guys, or do a search here and at least check the MAP sensor, TPS, and ecu codes for yourself.
|
Just in case you don't know, the MAP sensor is labeled "Boost Sensor." It's located by the brake booster. (driver side)

try unplugging the battery?
|
Why has nobody suggested CEL? It could be LIMP.
Pull the engine codes. It could be limp mode.
My car is under the same thing. I have CEL 40 and 71 which for some reason do not show up on the dash light. |
