Pre-Turbo control/Wastegate solenoids crossed...

I read an artical that states that when the electrical connections on these solenoids are crossed , the secondary turbo will not boost above 7psi. This is the set of solenoid(s) that bolt on underneath and in front of the UIM.

Question: Will it affect the primary turbo boost, or in any other way, if the elec connections are crossed. ?

It affects boost across the entire rpm range. I think the way it works is since the wastegate is no longer getting a signal, it runs off the spring, which is set @ 7psi.

Actually I don't think it will affect primary boost. I had my prespool/wastegate solenoids crossed and I was boosting 10-6-6. After I switched them, I was getting 10-8-10.

Roger That!!. I switched my elec. connections a few hours ago and presto!! I went from a 10-7-8 boost to a whopping 10-8-11 (10). What a major difference. I think my wheels are screaching at the 4500 transition. Major added pull. Wonder what the HP gain is???

3psi at 4500+ rpm is probably roughly 30-40 rwhp gain, I think...

Thanks 911GT2. Pretty impressive gain. I feel every bit of it at transition!! Too bad my FD is an Auto. :(

Will this also happen if you switch the vacuum lines to the actuators?

???. I have absolutely no idea!! Good question.
