PPF Thread type
 

Ok here's the deal. I purchased a used transmission, which has been rebuilt. It came minus the lower two studs that attach to the power plant frame (PPF) on the bottom of the neck of the transmission near where the drive shaft attaches. No problem I simply removed the two I had in my old transmission. Problem is they don't fit. The threads don't appear to be damaged on the transmission and the studs I removed where cleaned and go easily back into the old transmission. Does anyone know did they change the thread pattern on the transmissions for some reason over the years? My car is a 93 and I know my old transmission is the original one. Maybe this rebuilt one is from a latter year model? I spent about an hour last night on a search but did not find an answer. Thanks RD

It's a M14 x 1.5 thread pitch..... and no I have not seen any diffrence over the years. I have a 95 transmission and the studs are the same. Run a M14 tap up thru it and see if it fits.
