So when you raise or lower the driver's window the fuse blows?

I haven't had to troubleshoot the windows in this car but here's what I might try first:

- Disconect the windows motor's electrical connection.
- Try the switch.

If the fuse doesn't blow, the motor likely has a short circuit.

If the fuse blows again there is a short circuit in the switch or wire. It should be a short (distance) wire from the switch to the drivers window motor. Examine it carefully to see if the insulation has worn down on the wire and it's contacting the body (shorting to ground) anywhere. If so, there's your problem. If not, the problem is likely the switch.

- Disconect the windows motor's electrical connection.

OK ... the bit of info about the A/C blowing the fuse changes things.

If you disconect the motor, press the switch and the fuse doesn't blow the switch and wiring are fine but the motor isn't nessesarily bad.

Back when you had A/C and it blew the fuse would the driver's window also blow the fuse?
