Power "surge" after second turbo comes online??

Well. . . The fd is doing some odd things. I just got it a month ago (with a waranty thank god). It has a new motor with a street port done, and a cat back exaust. The rest is compleatly stock, includeing the lack of gagues untill later this week. I broke in the engine quite nicely by putting 2000 miles on it. (Long drives mostly to see people) After a week of owning it, the second turbo blew out so bad that it could not be rebuilt. I filled the parking garage at work with smoke. I get the car back, and now to today, about 4 days later.

I am driveing up to the fiance's place this afternoon and a vette pulls up next to me. I know I am going to prob loose as I am not perfect in the car yet, but owell. I drop it into 3rd, it goes to 4k rpm. I punch it and loose power at 5k for a second, then it is full again, and I loose it again at 6k for a second. No pings or detination that I can hear. It scared me quite badly, and I didn't drive the car over 4k except to test it out, and it was in 1st gear. I didn't get the surges that time.

I cant' see the guy who supplied me with the waranty untill friday at the earliest, so is there anything yall might think of checking off the bat? It drives perfectly fine, and doesn't seem to be eating oil. I have only seen the surging in 3rd gear, so I am at a compleate loss. Thanks for any info you guys/gals can give me.

First, you need a boost gage to start diagnosing the problem. Get that in, and let us know the results, and we can help you out better.

check your vacuum lines and check to make sure your hoses from the intake to the turbo and the intercooler pipes.
