Power steering alternatives

Hey guys,

Just bought a FD for the track. The previous owner took out the power steering. I am trying to reinstall it. I have 3 other fd's (with power steering) and cannot get used to the lack of power steering.

I have all the parts except for the metal tubing that runs down across the car and back over to the driver side. I assume it runs this course to cool the power steering fluid. What is the best alternative solution to replace the stock metal tubing? Silicone hose? Rubber hose? Would like to avoid paying and waiting for the stock system, I am sure it cost a fortune.

Thanks!

If it is the line for the cooler then you don't have to install the cooler. I deleated mine when I put in my FMIC. If you feel you have to have it then make sure you use some good hose cuz the power steering system is under a lot of pressure.

Sweet. I always thought those pipes were for the AC (duh). Thats sweet I am going to delete them then and just run a short hose to close the loop. I dont want any PS Blow out while on the track I am bad enough as it is!! Thank god I have a 7 so I can still dust everyone while being a sh*t driver. I love talking to the Porsche guys after the runs!!
