Power FC in an Automatic Car

I am looking for information to install a Power FC in an automatic car.

Fuck you in advance to the a-holes on a hair trigger to tell me to search or 5 speed the car. :D

Thanks!

It's pretty sraight forward... you will of course lose the hold function. I had no problem with the install in mine.

Ive heard stories of piggybacking the stock ecu and running both ecus

Ive heard that aside from losing the hold function (which I am fine with) - that overdrive doesn't work.

I have heard of these mythical threads to retain full automatic function but yet I haven't found them.

The MicroTech unit has been successfully worked to retain 'hold', ask Andre Sinclair or search for his threads.
Not sure about the PowerFC, but a quick Search showed dozens and dozens of possible hits....

The hold button isn't an overdrive feature, this might be why you think it's worth not having work.

I'd say since your not smart enough to know what or how your hold button works (much less the search button at the top of this link) SMART ASS....work it out yourself.

here is what im looking at. expensive but....

Sure you can plug in the PFC and go for a drive - but the transmission is missing other information that the stock ecu sends to it.

For instance, you can mash the accelerator and it will not downshift.

This is why I think its necessary to piggyback the stock ecu or to possibly install an aftermarket transmission controller.

I have heard of this being done before but can't find it documented anywhere.

Can't see any reason why any knowledgeable FD owner would want to help this asshole.
