Power extreme

Yo guys............

I about to purchase a new exhaust and sell my PFS catback. Seems how I think all of your opinion's matter, I ask you: whats the best overall exhaust system. I was thinking about the Power Extreme from Greddy.

thank a million, Matt:D

RyanREX 10-01-02 09:41 PM

I have heard nothing but good things about this cat-back. It is loud but everyone I know is happy with it.

1FooknTiteFD 10-01-02 09:55 PM

people still use the Power extreme? From what I've heard it's very nice and sounds very good...has a 3.5 inch piping I believe. The only thing i don't like about it is the canister look of the exhaust and the huge tip.

93blackrx 10-01-02 10:15 PM

does anyone think that there's a better one out there. for around the same price?

matt

How about the Apexi GT Spec. 3.75 inch piping.

The Greddy PE does sound good. But Get the JIC...it sounds WAY better!

93blackrx 10-01-02 10:28 PM

Matt

Nothing flows like the apexi n1 dual. As for sound, some like, some don't. I think its all in your state of tune. Mine sounds good and have gotten plenty of compliments. Plus its nice to know I couldn't be flowing better.

Yea I like the JIC 505 Titantium.. does anyone know where I could get it for cheaper than 900??

Mahjik 10-02-02 09:56 AM

The GReddy PE is nice, however, with all canister style exhaust.... if you lower the car, be careful of the canister scraping on speed bumps, driveway lips, etc...

93blackrx 10-02-02 10:23 AM

has anyone heard info about the apexi gt?

Matt

A lot of people like them, personally, I'm not a fan of Apexi exhausts.

If I had it over to do again, I would get something like the Blitz, HKS Hiper, or Rotary Performance exhausts..

I just got the JIC in stock and this thing is beautiful. I took some pics and will post them tonight.

I have that and it's great for lowered cars. Not a fan of canisters, so this one is good and the sound is awsome(sp?). I just wish the tip was an inch smaller, it helps when the car goes onto a trailor or has to be transported somewhere. Great style looks nice not rice.

JimmyJimboJet 10-02-02 11:57 AM

will be looking forward to the pics Jason...

I've got the Greddy PE. Sounded great with the twins & midpipe. Quiet cruising, nice and LOUD at WOT but not overwhelming inside the car.

Now that I went single the different exhaust manifold changed the tone of the Greddy PE and there is a bit of a "tin -ee" sound to it that I'm not found of.

I may try the JIC, the thing can't weight more than 3 lbs and it IS beautiful! My second choice would be to try the Greddy SP. Jason has this on his T78 single, the exhaust is a lower pitch and there is no "tin -ee" sound.

Here you go. It sounds ok, not my favorite though. My car is lowered and I don't have any problems with it. This is dp, mp, and the PE.

There is another FD here local to me who also has the Greddy PE but is running a midpipe. Honestly, I don't think there was really much of a difference in loudness from his midpipe and my hi-flo cat...

93blackrx 10-02-02 02:30 PM

That exhaust rocks. OH MY GOD......... how much? how wide? how much does it flow? dear lord!!!! I wonder if they make a titanium dow pipe or mid pipe?

Matt

mrFD3S 10-12-02 04:56 PM
