possible problem

I took my car out for a quick cruise today everything seemed fine, water temps were between 85-91 degrees even though it was quite hot out. I was on my way home about a mile from my house and while boosting there was a loud woosh of air...like the bov just much louder. I had this problem once before and it was because one of the intercooler pipes popped off; however, I checked the pipe and after looking over the engine bay everything seems in order. I did notice that there was some colorless/odorless smoke coming out of the right side of the engine bay, not a lot, but it's something I havn't noticed before. Granted I don't usually check my engine bay over everytime I park the car.

Any ideas as to what the issue may be or if there is an issue. I might take it out later today and see if I can hear it again. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like a split coupler, even if they don't pop off they can still rupture.

I havn't been able to take the car out and replicate the problem as of yet; however, you think one of the couplers for the intercooler pipes split?

car still make boost? could have been either a coupler or a bunch of vacuum lines...also, which side of the engine bay is the right side? passenger or driver?

Hey guys I found the problem, the pipe from the intercooler to the turbo popped off right at the y pipe so it wasn't visible until i started pulling things apart. thanks for your help.

I'm guessing the rubber couplings are getting old, where would one buy the nice polished pipes and couplings?
