Possible damage to ac panel

Dear rx7club,

I had a pretty ghetto stereo shop in Oakland work on my car yesterday. The guy was great with getting my damaged wiring to work correctly on a navi/DVD head unit but he was a bit rough with the car. Now I'm a bit worried that my interior plastics aren't fitting like they should, especially with some aftermarket dash kit. I can't remember... Does the ac panel stick out from the dash about 1/8 to 1/4 inch? Or is it supposed to be totally flush with the dash? Would anyone happen to have a pic of what it looks like from the side?

Thanks!

Nice work. When you look at it from the right side does it stick out from the dash a bit?

I want to resurface mine too. How did you avoid painting the little illustrations around the knobs? Tape?
