Porting Wastegate: Tutorial for removing twins?
 

I've done a search and I only found a picture tutorial of how to disassemble the twins but not how to take them out. Is this a hard procedure or could I do this in an hour or so?

I haven't done any prior work to the engine other than removing air filters and a couple of pipes to get to my HKS BOV, but other than that, that's all I've done. If someone has a picture tutorial or could just do a step by step in how to remove the turbos, I'd greatly appreciate that.

It's pretty easy. Just undo the intercooler piping, downpipe, oil lines, coolant lines, it's really straight forward. Remember to get a small 10mm swivel extension for the lower oil return line.

It will take a better part of the day to get them out and back it, like WINDOM said it is pretty much straight forward, and also don't forget to spary the bolts with WD40.

yeah.. good idea to soak the mani/turbo bolts overnight w/ PB Blaster to help loosen. Hardest thing is to not break or strip the studs if they have never been off. G

+1 for the PB Blaster. That shit will eat through anything. If you could put WD-40 on crack, it would be PB Blaster.

My dad and I are going to attempt to remove the turbos tomorrow. Anything that we need to know? It seems as though I need to remove air filters first and a few pipes in order to actually see the turbos.

Oh yeah like others said, SPRAY DOWN THE NUTS/STUDS with pb blaster and let it sit for a day before anything, and work the bolts out slowly. It's easier to do it properly than sit there for hours with an easy out trying to get a broken stud out. I broke a stud stupidly my first removal.
